Recovery Worship is coming THIS OCTOBER! Join us each Sunday in October at 5pm for dinner, followed by a worship service in the sanctuary.
We'll be meeting at Christ United Methodist Church (2375 East 3300 South, SLC) for this 4-week series. (This is the same church that hosted this year's Interfaith Pride service, for anyone who attended that!) Recovery Worship is the only Christian worship service in Utah that is inclusive & affirming -and- contemporary. We come from many backgrounds: some of us are long-time members from various Christian denominations, some of us left churches for whatever reasons, & some of us just haven't set foot in a church in a while (or maybe ever). At Recovery, every individual is affirmed as inherently valuable to God, and our call to love God and love one another is kept a focal point. Hope to see you there - all are welcome, and all means all! |
RECOVERY WORSHIP at CHRIST UMC

ParkingParking is available all around the building.
If you're driving west on 3300 S, you can take a right into the parking lots. If you're driving east on 3300 S, you can take a left into the parking lots -- or, if you prefer to turn at a light, just take a left at 2300 E, then take the first right onto 3225 S, to enter the church parking lots from the north. Plenty of accessible parking spaces are available on the east side of the building. |
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect food, community, readings, a not-too-long sermon, prayer, and plenty of music!
We really hope to see you there. And, since these are the first Recovery services since our special Easter service this past April, we are all "visitors" or "newcomers" in a way :) Whether you've never set foot in a church, attend weekly, or just haven't been in a while - we welcome you and hope you'll join us!
